3 to go!!

Coffee, eggs, and tater tots. Our Monday morning routine. 😀☕️
The tots at Dana Farber are pretty delicious, by the way. Hopefully none of you will ever need to come here. But if you do, get the tots!
Number 9 today. Bloodwork done. IV is in. My nurse Paula is the best!

Goofy photo shoot with Gramma and Pop Pop this morning. Ben stole the show this time. 😛
My parents have been coming up every week to help out with the kids. It’s amazing. And we are so grateful. Literally couldn’t do this without you two! ❤️❤️
Done with #8! All went well today.

4 to go.

Been struggling this week, emotionally. I feel like all I do is go to chemo. Or recover from chemo. Or try to convince a certain 4 year old to do things he doesn’t want to do (ya know.. get dressed, eat things other than Mac n cheese, go pee.. I’m such a mean mom 🤷🏼♀️)
I’m so tired.
But I keep coming back to this quote my friend Karen sent me a while back.

Just need to refocus. 👍🏻
5 more weeks of chemo. Let the countdown begin!
A bunch of people told me they didn’t see the second paragraph of my post from last night until someone else pointed it out and they went back and checked again. I think it’s because I posted just the first paragraph and then went back and edited it. I dunno exactly.
Anyway it’s worth reposting because it is such great news .. so here it is again if you missed it:
Oh and with all the craziness earlier, I forgot to mention the most exciting thing about today. The doctor did an exam and can no longer feel the tumor!!! (I can’t feel it anymore either). We won’t know for sure until the surgery exactly how the tumor responded, but this is a very, VERY good sign that the chemo is doing what it is supposed to be doing. 👏🏻🤞🏻🙂
Meant to update earlier – things got delayed a bit because of the flu test and X-ray, but all went pretty well after that. Just took a little longer than usual. So glad it’s done. ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅

No pneumonia and no flu!!! Getting started with treatment soon.
Oh and I get a private room today! They sort of quarantined me while we were waiting for the flu results, and they’re just going to keep me in this room now. So apparently all you have to do is say the word flu around here and you get a pretty sweet room. With walls and everything! 😉
So I met with the dr this morning and he wanted me to get checked out because of my cough/cold. So I had a chest X-ray and a flu swab. We’re waiting for results. Really hoping I come back negative for pneumonia and flu because then I can still get chemo today. I already had the IV put in before I met with the doc, so if we have to go home after getting an IV for nothing I’m gonna be reeeeally unhappy. 😬

They made me wear a mask. Don’t I look awesome? 😷🤪
Chemo side effects.. plus this nasty cold I have.. plus Ben had the flu. Not fun. Luckily my parents and Eric were able to take care of Ben this week because I really haven’t been able to do too much. I’m definitely run down. Hoping I’ll start to turn the corner soon. 🤞🏻
I’ve been in bed a lot the last few days. Been binge watching The Good Wife. Only have a season and a half left though and then what am I going to do?? 🤷🏼♀️ Need more recommendations please! lol. Anything on tv/amazon prime/Hulu.
I did manage to get outside for a little bit today. Needed some sunshine and fresh air. Ellie and I went for a little walk. ☀️
